Safe Base Psychology offers a wide range of psychological assessments and treatment to children, young people, adults and families.
With our experience in working with and supporting people, we listen and help find the right approach for you. We can then offer a therapeutic journey supporting you to move towards your goals.
A Psychologist is somebody who is trained to help people understand their thoughts and feelings. They can also help people to talk about their problems or what they find difficult.
Psychologists may sometimes do an assessment which is a way of understanding someone. We usually have a conversation and sometimes we use activities, pens, paper and games.
Psychologists can also provide support to people individually. This is usually through talking or play and activities depending on a person’s age and ability.
Psychologists can also support families, carers, schools and other professionals to help them understand how someone is thinking and feeling and what might help them.
Psychological therapy, also known as talking therapy or counselling, is a way to help people deal with emotional, psychological, or behavioural issues. It involves talking to a trained Therapist or Psychologist who listens to your thoughts and feelings, helps you understand them, and guides you in finding ways to cope with problems or make positive changes in your life. The goal is to improve your mental health and well-being. There are lots of different types of therapies available to suit each person and their goals.
